The challenge of teaching today is to create proficient, confident and creative performers deserving of the ancient illustrious reputation of excellence gained by harpers for over a millennium. To maintain the oral nature of the tradition and exposure to all aspects of its broad and rewarding repertoire, Janet has evolved a unique style of teaching which has produced many of today¹s internationally renowned Irish harpers.

Her method combines individual tuition, group play, session participation and stage performance; and involves basic instruction in all the ŒArts of Harping¹ before encouraging the players to specialise in particular areas of repertoire.
